Summary
Overview
Two small, self-directed Revit projects built while learning BIM — one architectural, one structural — covering modelling, coordination, and analysis setup.
Model 1 — Residential BIM Model
A compact two-storey house modelled from the ground up: slab, walls, a gable roof with a fully glazed gable end, a first-floor balcony, and mixed cladding. Built using levels, walls, floors, roofs, doors, and windows, with materials applied and a shaded 3D presentation view.
Model 2 — Structural Frame & Analysis
A three-level structural frame (FFL 0.000 / 3.600 / 7.000) with columns, a primary and secondary beam layout, a central core wall, and pad footings — plus the analytical model used for analysis. The last two images show the physical frame and its analytical representation.
Outcome
Together these consolidated the core Revit workflow across both disciplines — architectural modelling and structural framing — through to generating an analytical model ready for analysis.
